Admission and Registration

SOK accepts a limited number of elementary boys.
Tuition for SOK after-school club is $15/week payable no later than Tuesday each week.

Documents Required

Sons of the King requires a completed enrollment/medical release form, a completed permission form and a signed SOK/Parent Covenant form.
Note: It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to make known to SOK any changes in above information.

After School Schedule

SOK after-school club will operate Monday through Friday during the regular school year. We will be closed for any Jackson Public School (JPS) holiday and closed per JPS determination in the event of inclement weather. The after-school club will be closed for one week between the end of the regular school session and the start of SOK summer club. Parents will be notified of exact dates.

After-School Club Hours

Monday – Friday from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.
A typical afternoon schedule looks like this:
2:30 p.m. – Playtime
3:00 p.m. – Snack
3:15 p.m. – Devotion
3:30 p.m. – Homework/Tutoring
4:30 p.m. – Karate, Playtime, Art
5:45 p.m. – Dismiss
6:00 p.m. – Deadline for pick-up

Arrival and Departure

Boys will be picked up from McLeod Elementary at 2:15 p.m. to arrive at Trinity Presbyterian Church by 2:30 p.m.
Boys must be picked up between 5:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. A late fee will be charged for children picked up after 6 p.m. Beginning at 6:01 p.m., $7 for each 15 minute interval will be charged. For example if your child is picked up at 6:20 p.m., you will be charged a late fee of $14.
At departure, we will not send any child out to the car alone. A parent or approved adult must come inside the building for child pickup. Your child’s safety is of utmost importance to us; therefore, it is imperative that we know where your child is at all times when he is under our care. Out of consideration for our workers, please exit promptly so that the building may be locked up for the night.


SOK will provide a snack. Please do not send food or drink unless requested by staff.

Children’s Personal Belongings

It is the responsibility of the parent to clearly label all of his/her child’s items.
Please send a coat or jacket on chilly days. Children will be taken outside frequently.
Children are not permitted to use radios, cd players, ipods or cell phones during class time.
SOK is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.

Parent Conferences and Meetings

Conferences: Parental involvement in SOK is desired and encouraged. Therefore parent conferences will be scheduled at the end of each quarter.
Additionally, a parent may request a conference at any time during the year. Every effort will be made to accommodate the schedule of the parent for such conferences.

Mandatory Parent Meetings: To facilitate the free flow of information periodic mandatory parent meetings will be held. Dates will be announced each year.
